Middle School Just My Rotten Luck, by James Patterson tells the story of Rafe Khatchadoria. Summer is over and it is time for Rafe to go back to Hills Village Middle School and he is forced to enter the ”special” class. Which gives the biggest bully, Miller the Killer, another reason to pick on Rafe. Rafe makes a deal with him, if he joins the football team and scores that Miller the Killer will stop bugging him and his “special” class mates. Readers will also follow Rafe as he keeps the school guessing with his mysterious artwork.I have read other books in the middle school series but this one by far really caught by eye. Middle School Just My Rotten Luck has it all, relatable events, humor, and some great drawings. It is also a great option even if you aren’t a huge fan of reading. I am in middle school and don’t really like reading, but James Patterson did such a great job. I am now on book 7 of the series. Middle School Just My Rotten Luck is a book worth putting on your reading list.
