Spike Lee's School Daze influenced and spoke to a generation of young people who spent anytime at or around the scene at any HBCU back in the mid to late 80's. I am not a writer, so I won't even attempt to try to describe what makes that film, or this soundtrack so special. But listening to the soundtrack instantly transports me back in time to some of the best times I had "out on the yard" at Howard University. For me, "We've Already Said Goodbye" by Peices of a Dream holds that portal.
