This is one of nine books about starting school, that I have purchased for my very anxious four and a half year old daughter! It is by far the best and the one she always picks up to read, mainly because the illustrations are similar to the set up in her school and she can identify with them. Also because this book is not a story and gives practical scenarios about the school day, it reminds her of what to expect on days when she is worried about going in. The problem with many stories about starting school is that they are not particularly realistic and my daughter much prefers facts to ease her mind.
