Up there with "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and "Real Genius" in terms of freewheeling-tone and *topicality* (sexual harassment, by Deans; distinguished type Black professors having to put up with suck-up white preppies; female desire, partying and dress; kickbacks getting the new dorm built, like the new *mall* in town ("What were you -- born *yesterday?*"), and a general sense that they'll toss everything in there because not-everyone is *looking* (like the moment in "Repo Man" about John Wayne coming to the door in a *dress*; Alex Cox said he just heard it somewhere (firsthand ... ), and tossed it in, nobody said anything, it's on the Criterion DVD extras, check it out yourself!).Really.
